The Royal Art Lodge

The Royal Art Lodge was a collaborative group of artists based in Winnipeg including Michael Dumontier, Marcel Dzama, Neil Farber, Drue Langlois, Jonathan Pylypchuk, Adrian Williams, Hollie Dzama and Myles Langlois. They had a very interesting process of work, meeting once a week for several years and producing drawings and paintings that were a response to the others's work.

Bloody Moon

Première lune sanguine à l’horizon. Bien ronde, bien pleine, bien rouge. Premier réchauffement climatique depuis des jours. Premier vrai coup de barre, coup de blues, ras le bol… Première impression depuis longtemps d’avancer vers quelque chose de nouveau, d’inconnu et de profondément personnel. Envie d’introspection et de réflexion.

Gobi's desert

Et oui ici c'est un peu le désert de Gobi... enfin ici seulement car dans la vraie vie, la non virtuelle, ça brasse, ça s'agite, ça coure et ça stresse, ça rit et ça s'angoisse mais ça avance, ça avance.

Une signature de compromis, une séance post signature de photomaton, des balades revigorantes, des petites attentions, des belles soirées aux bougies...


Et des artistes qui me touchent par leur travail fin, émouvant et qui me sont si proches : un très beau livre de Béatrice Alemagna, C'est quoi un enfant ?




Et l'oeuvre poétique de Kiki Smith
